Mushroom compost is a great soil improver due to its high organic matter content. Our organic mushroom compost is a by-product of our mushroom farming and supplies nutrients like calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphate. Easily spreadable, it will increase the organic material in your substrate and soil, making it a great choice for vegetable growers. This soil also benefits soil structure and can be used by landscape gardeners. Non-acidic plants, such as camellias and rhododendrons, are particularly suited to this compost type. Note that there are two kinds of mushroom compost: spent (previously used for mushroom farming) and unspent (low in nutritional value and not supplied here).
